Fire System Design

Once it has been established by the fire risk assessment process what category of fire system is required our designers will design and specify a system that is in line with current legislation and the specific requirement of the client.

As TCS Fire Safety Services is an FSA accredited organisation our designers are strictly audited on a regular basis and all systems are certified and covered by professional indemnity insurance policy.

It is essential that the fire alarm system is designed correctly taking into account all factors such as the rating of power supplies, the correct spacing of automatic and manual detection devices and also ensuring that the alarm devices meet sufficient audibility levels to raise an effective alarm. Since the introduction of the Disabled Discrimination Act it is also important that a system design is engineered to raise a fire alarm to those who have a hearing disability possibly by means of visual alarms or vibrating pager systems. In instances where wheelchair users are to occupy a building it is also important that fire communication systems are installed at disabled refuge locations. All such things need to be taken into consideration and with our wealth of experience our clients can be sure that their system is designed to meet their requirements and the requirements of current legislation.

With our in house CAD facility we are able to produce working drawings from a simple sketch and on completion of the installation of a fire system we are able to provide as installed system drawings and zone charts in an electronic format.
